Text:

Your justification for overthrowing the last Sultan was... flimsy. You merely showed the courtiers the Sultan Card, declaring that the Sultan himself had granted you the right of conquest with no restrictions on whom you might conquer.

Amidst the whispers, you strode toward the golden throne. The courtiers saw your claim as hollow. Many called you usurper in hushed tones. Stupid peasants and cunning merchants defied your first decrees, certain you would soon be toppled by the next contender...

But they underestimated one truth: What is the greatest legitimacy of power? Not royal blood, not brute strength, nor even the people's support - but evil! The wicked imagination festering in your heart, the will to act upon it, the fervent desire to watch the world drown in depravity!

Since forging your pact with the will of ultimate malice, none have understood the power of evil as you do.

Soon, you introduced the Joyous Ticket, a game mimicking the Sultan's Card. People bought these tickets to commit the acts inscribed upon them without legal consequence: Carnality, of course, but also Bloodshed. You ranked every citizen by tier though, naturally, one could rise in tier by paying you enough. Why fear a mere Stone Bloodshed Card when three gold coins could spare you? The Golden ones, however, cost a hundred and twenty! You rewarded and punished officials with these tickets. At first bewildered, they soon groveled desperately, who would gamble their entire fortune to satisfy the whim of a card?

Alas, this time, no hero rose to stop you like you used to do. The realm descended into a game, and in your eyes, everyone reveled in delight.

And of course... you were the happiest one.
