You ascended the Golden Throne, with Riel, the barbarian from the Dark Alley, as your vizier.
Initially, Riel didn't realize what her title truly meant, not until you started enforcing a series of radical reforms, primarily abolishing slavery.
"Abolishing slavery? The slavers must die, right? Kill them—hang them?" Riel's eyes suddenly lit up, "Let me do it! Let me do it!"
Then, countless uprisings rained down on the Lapis Lazuli floor. Slaves and bankrupt farmers roamed the territories under your banner, attacking slave owners and plundering the Property of free citizens; many minor nobles and middle-class commoners were forced to become your enemies, hiring goons to protect their homes and families...
When the waves of rebellion reached the capital, some high-ranking noble officers incited a Troop that should have resisted the rioters to refuse your orders; this exposed the palace to widespread acts of violence consuming the city. You had been unable to find Riel for days, forcing you to pick up a sword alongside the palace guards.
Suddenly, a strange squad rushed out from the alleyway—they wore no uniforms, held no standard weapons, but each of them, regardless of age or gender, had a swift stride and sharp eyes; they were true warriors.
This group quickly inserted themselves between you and the rioters, led by an older woman draped in feathers and wielding a wooden staff. She stepped out from the ranks, scrutinizing you up and down—and you suddenly saw Riel standing behind her!
"I heard you have supreme authority, yet you don't seem like much..." The old woman's voice was rough and hoarse, with a few cackling laughs, then waved her hand at the rioters, "The young girl said your power was so vast it could provide our people with shelter... she also said you would free all slaves and carve out slavers' livers for us to consume. As long as we help you solve this problem."
Riel frantically signaled you, looking as tame as a fledgling chick beside the old lady.
"Well, let's see, let's see... if the city folk's king lies... then we're going to taste the king's liver."
She struck the ground heavily with her cane, once, twice, thrice.
Her warriors screamed a deafening war cry, then charged at the Mob. Everyone in the city knew the barbarians were cannibalistic. The warriors' painted bodies, human bone necklaces, and strange roars greatly intensified these fearsome legends...
The Mob was instantly scattered. You immediately ordered the arrest of those opposition nobles and treacherous officers who incited the populace, giving their livers to the tribal warriors.
The old woman, being the matriarch, should have the first taste. Her gruesome dining scene on a living person's abdomen with a bloody hearth was so shocking... that no one dared visit that plaza for a long time.
You finally managed to secure the Sultan's throne.
