Text:

Nawfal became this nation's new Sultan, with you as Vizier, and you established a brand-new realm. Countless muddy, bloodstained hands lifted you to the Golden Throne—kings of the people serving the people: ruler to all yet servant to all.

After coronation, Nawfal launched numerous revolutionary reform policies, completely eradicating the country's slavery system and demanding lords apportion authority per their free citizens' count.

These policies were certainly correct, targeting the root of tyranny—a faction enjoying all the rights while another had none—

Yet, what's right isn't always welcomed.

In the policy implementation phase, discontented courtiers (naturally discontent, since they gained nothing!) deliberately distorted and defiled your intentions; they told the slaves, you are free, meaning you can now seize from free citizens; otherwise, how is it freedom? Then they told the free citizens, those slaves raised the Sultan to the throne, it's a coup, it's unjust! Have you forgotten the former Sultan's benevolence?

Soon, local conflicts began to erupt. Some slaves did not wish to lose their masters, unsure how to embrace freedom; thus, they were first killed by their peers. Subsequently, slaves attacked free citizens and nobles, the latter forming private forces to retaliate; due to the local chaos, urban supplies began to dwindle, with even cities that originally didn't practice slavery seeing their commoners and minor nobles unable to feed their families. Major nobles and lords, already resentful of your abrupt state changes, remained indifferent, refused to lend support, even encouraging defamatory speech against you within their territories.

The situation escalated rapidly, and you and Nawfal exhausted yourselves attempting to explain your true intentions... but the people didn't care. The impoverished felt you failed to deliver what they desired, like unearned gains, revenge against the affluent, trampling on others' rights; while the wealthy realized you threatened their interests and chose silence.

A mob bearing the former Sultan's banner stormed your palace, dragging Nawfal out, beating him to the ground, hanging him on a wooden scaffold erected specifically for him. You were hung an arm's length away from him.

As death approached, you felt no pain, merely a strong desire to laugh.
