Text:

You and Nawfal have taken over this country. This is your victory, and even more so the people's victory.

After ascending to the throne, you immediately began drafting and implementing various reforms with Nawfal, the most significant of which is the abolition of the empire's slavery system. In your vision, the future empire should not even have "Nobles" and people should only rise by their own abilities. As the ancient sages said, "Kings and princes, are they inherently noble?"

Evidently, the reform faced numerous resistances; yet the forces of progress could not break through these obstacles, something you never anticipated. You and Nawfal expected that so many people, so many hands, so many eager eyes—so many souls yearning for freedom and justice—should be enough? But in reality, a vast empire has its inertia... Nawfal put all their strength to push the ancient wheel in the right direction, but the force was insufficient to completely derail it.

The Nobles began to slander Nawfal and attack you, refusing to execute the reform orders. Even when they did, it was just pretense. The slaves could not hear your voice; their masters kept them confined, exploiting them more cruelly, fearing they would realize they are now complete individuals by law. The new government clashed continuously with the bureaucratic system and Noble forces, escalating into local civil wars, which eventually subsided through compromises but left terrifying scars on the trust between you.

It seems all this will never stop; the country you long for seems will never come... even though you have overthrown a Sultan, you cannot enjoy the fruits of victory; those fruits shine like jewels... you can see them, hanging over the country.

Sometimes you and Nawfal have a drink together, and the topic always leads to the same question: How many more challenges must be faced, how many vertebrae worn down, before we can taste its sweetness? A hundred, a thousand, or ten thousand? Is this life enough?

Ha... who cares! Anyway, you'll keep trying, for the hundred and first, the thousand and first, the ten thousand and first time!

Cheers!
