Text:

What a fresh and wonderful thing it is to be a star! Following Lumera—she is now your guiding star—you pick a comfortable spot in the heavens: close enough to Lumera to visit and chat easily, yet not too far from the mortal world, for how else could you check on your friends down there? Oh, what became of them, anyway? You peer down from the clouds, only to find that countless years have passed on earth. Your radiance can no longer find the familiar golden dome of the Sultan's palace!

So this is what it means to be a star—so lonely! You look up at the other stars, worshipped by mortals, believed to rule parts of fate, yet they, too, spin helplessly along their paths, seeming even more powerless than the people kneeling in prayer. Now you finally understand why stars always long to descend to the mortal world!

In your next meeting, you share this thought with Lumera, and she nods earnestly: "Very well! There are so many new things in the world I've never seen. I want to go see if there are new books to read." And so, on an ordinary evening, two shooting stars streak eagerly across the sky. Later generations believe that anyone who sees this sight is blessed, for any wish made then will surely be heard by the stars—and will one day come true.
