"Actually, the entire empire consists of homeland exiles, but... only those loyal to King Ultagi, loyal to the Gilded Blood family, will help." He sighs, "Can't blame people - commoners just want peaceful lives - that's what I concluded after twenty years as a commoner myself. As a prince, I really thought everyone should die for their country, ha, ha, ha."
He lists several family names, all ancient families from the homeland era. They're not particularly prominent now but still flourishing.
"If I approach them, they'll certainly help. Partly because they swore loyalty to me and my father, partly because they know they won't have good lives in the Sultan's realm, especially under the current Supreme Sultan... If I succeed, they naturally become high nobles." - Disable Event: Swordsman Inquiry

"I don't want to be king, much less Sultan - or any administrator." He stares at you directly, seemingly gauging whether you believe him. "The reason I'm plotting this with you is precisely because I think you're more suitable than me."
He points to the Blade of Lament. "Just carrying this sword lets you claim to be the legitimate Gilded Blood heir, giving legitimacy to restoration. Despite my appearance, I truly am a prince - old Kook told me all this." - Disable Event: Swordsman Inquiry

"Ah, good question." He lazily scratches his ear. "Probably because... you're the only one among the Sultan's courtiers who's established Notoriety in the Dark Alley. Your Influence side lets you approach the Sultan, making our plan feasible... while your embrace of the Dark Alley makes me think... perhaps we can understand each other."
He folds his arms, grinning.
"Besides, even if you betray me, being killed by a formidable opponent like you means at least I won't die like my father, at the hands of nobodies." - Disable Event: Swordsman Inquiry

You ask why, after twenty years as a nameless Roaming Swordsman, he now resolves to seek revenge.
"Hahaha..." he laughs, scratching his chin. "I don't know either. I thought I'd drift through life this way, never thinking about revenge. After all, I don't want to be king or Sultan - I love being a Roaming Swordsman! Once old Kuk and the others die, no one will pressure me anymore. I can do what I want, live how I want, die how I want."
Then he snaps his fingers, rubbing his wrist, seemingly preparing difficult words.
"Then... I saw mother's... belongings. I thought, if I completely give up, after old Kook dies, after I die, no one will know about Mekana, about King Ultagi. Only that tattered handwritten booklet - all other history... all names, erased by the Sultan's scribes. Our existence reduced to such little evidence, a few broken plates, broken slippers, gone."
He straightens up, eyes gently meeting yours - eyes seemingly not belonging to his alcohol-ravaged body, eyes belonging to a prince.
"I don't want to be forgotten. We were good people. Good people shouldn't be forgotten." He says softly. - Disable Event: Swordsman Inquiry
