  You follow Lumera through the bustling market, walking through the seeking eyes of the commoners. Finally, her steps halt in front of a low, shabby shanty in the slums, where a gaunt, filthy old man squats, daydreaming. Upon seeing Lumera, the man’s eyes suddenly brighten. He jumps up, trying to grab her hand, but you step in front of her.
  
  “I’m here for vengeance,” the girl calmly tells the man, “Father.”
  
  ... This is her father? Surprised, you glance at the man. His expression becomes even more enthusiastic; he rubs his hands together, mouth agape, showing a grotesque set of yellow teeth: "I knew you’d make it big! Are you a noble’s concubine? Or a top-grade prostitute? It’s time you give back to your dad. What did you bring for dad? Wine? Cigarettes?”
  
  Lumera’s ever-unchanging expression cracks slightly, and through the fissure, you glimpse pain.
