  “Lately, people at the market have been surrounding those who can read, asking them to read this aloud,” Nayla fiddles with her hair, clearly displeased, “It lists the most beautiful women in the entire empire, with some comments, as if commoners have the right to judge us... utterly ridiculous!”

She giggled, delicately tracing her fingers over your cheek and chin, carrying a hint of an unspoken meaning, then swayed her body and left your home.
