You came to visit Habunah
Habunah lies all day in a dark room, refusing to see anyone, even refusing to eat. This poor craftswoman has lost her nimble fingers, no different than to a bird losing its wings. She no longer carry any hope to continue living.

Nabhani has already figured out the ins and outs of the accident. The fire was set by jealous neighbors envious of her business and earnings – because of Habunah, he was already on the brink of bankruptcy. It was ironic that the fire did nothing to save him, as his shop and home were on the same street destroyed by the blaze. The day after the fire was extinguished, he drowned himself in the river.

What else can one blame him for?

As Nabhani and you left Habunah's room, he gravely tells you that the Sultan had asked about Habunah a couple of days ago, curious about what kind of woman can make his Iron Guard so reckless.

"My heart is not for Habunah; yet I still find it so regrettable," Nabhani says. "She is a good woman who, with her own hands, could have lived well. We all think so, don't we? But, neither you nor I can protect her. Instead, our care put her in a more dangerous situation... where did it all go wrong?"

You couldn't give him an answer
Why are freedom and happiness so difficult to obtain and maintain? You feel sorrow so vast for the woman, her fate so wretched. But there is nothing you could say, only being able to pat Nabhani on the shoulder.

After a long silence, Nabhani shakes his head and sighed lightly, forcing a joke: "Well, at least we tried our best... It's just that I dare not wear that blue gauze belt to the court again." He put his arm around your shoulder, guiding you out the door, seemingly relaxed, "If anything comes up, just let me know. I’m not in the mood for hanging out and playing around anyway."

You gave him your answer
Why are freedom and happiness so difficult to obtain and maintain? Accompanying a piece of identity paper for free person is merely a lie of freedom – in this country, everyone is at each other's throats, tearing at one another. It is as though that is a necessity for survival here.

Even powerful courtiers and the Iron Guard like you have no freedom in front of the Sultan. Do you? You cautiously gauge his expressions, afraid to show preference for anything lest the Sultan takes it away, lest a single misstep leads to the ruin of your family. How are you different from Habunah? Aren’t the freedom and hope you have also so easily taken away?

You expressionlessly pour your thoughts onto the Sultan’s Iron Guard, even saying, "If you think I'm too presumptuous, you can just kill me here."

But the loyal guardian of the Sultan remains silent. After a while, he bitterly smiles and admits, "You're right. This country is bad, and our master is no different. Making freedom and happiness a childish and faraway dream for all, as if only such things would bring him joy." He seems to finally abandon his fantasy, abandoning his pledged vow, abandoning the self of his youth, "I once ran far away, thinking I could avoid all this, only to end up achieving nothing. Maybe trying things your way wouldn't be so bad, [player.name]. Show me what you can do."

You took the chance to manipulate him
All noble warriors undergo comprehensive training against black magic, and their practices even include building resistance to illusions, poisons, and the extremes of fire and ice... Under normal circumstances, no matter what kind of tricks you employ, Nabhani's sword would unerringly pierce your throat.

But today, he is nothing more than a mortal, bleeding from the heart. Indulgence, pleasure, and alcohol have yet to numb the pain in his soul.

Guided by your words and drawn to the purity of this noble warrior's soul, the dark power flows like fine liquor, filling Nabhani's cup.

Out of hatred for this world and trust in you, he empties the cursed in a single draught.
