What You Can Do

Habunah lay all day in a dark room, refusing to see anyone, even refusing to eat. This poor craftswoman has lost her nimble fingers, no different than to a bird losing its wings. She no longer carry any hope to continue living. You are powerless to help; perhaps only a woman can console another woman.

Nabhani Knows Women Better Than They Know Themselves
Upon hearing about Habunah’s plight, Nabhani carefully held her heavily bandaged hand, nearly bursting into tears.

He constantly blamed himself – how could he not be by her side during her suffering and hardship?! Why did the Heavens punish an innocent woman instead of him? It was all his fault... He granted Habunah Freedom, encouraged her to run a fabric business, and flaunted with a blue gauze belt, almost drawing the Sultan's attention...

His heart-wrenching manner made Habunah instead try to comfort him in a panic, speaking incoherently until she burst into tears.

All the accumulated regret, frustration, and grievance were finally released in the torrent of tears.

Nabhani gently stroked her back, soothingly reassuring her that everything would pass. Even if she could no longer weave, she would surely find her other value because every woman is unique in this world.

He gave Habunah lots of support and consolation, and finally, a faint gleam returned to her eyes. In the darkness of utter despair, she saw a glimmer of perhaps achievable hope. Just like when she encountered you and Nabhani while sinking into slavery.

After this, Nabhani finally restrains his playful nature, saying that the pursuit of freedom is painful. He can not remain stagnant after encouraging Habunah.

Women Gather Around Habunah
As soon as they entered, they chased you out, and you couldn't hear a word of their chattering private conversation inside. You only knew Habunah had a good cry inside. After a few days of recuperation, the once-female weaver found you, surrounded by the women, to thank you for your care and shelter. Her hands were still bandaged, yet her eyes reignited with light, faint yet resolute, like unnoticeable yet never again extinguishable stars in the night.

The women said they promised to buy Habunah another empty house together, encouraging her to teach weaving to the servants, willing women, and even female slaves. They kept praising Habunah's excellent craftsmanship and vast experience—despite her fingers not being nimble anymore, she would undoubtedly find her own way.

You genuinely feel happy for her.
