Outcome

Prior

Human, Beast, and Demon all can be bribed
You declare zealously, considering the mountain lion as sly as a demon, hunting it is too hard, so you will slaughter a cow at its mountain ridge haunt daily, to protect travelers along the way with feeding it such fresh meat...

The first feeding succeeded. Servants terrifiedly tell you the mountain lion followed them to a hillside near the city... it remembered where this fresh meat came from, expecting its next meal – you'd better not disappoint it.

Regular

The lion cautiously circles around, eventually succumbing to the temptation of the sheep and stepping into your trap.

Its paws and stomach are pierced by sharp wooden spikes, its fur soaked in blood. It roars loudly, trying to escape, but you force it back with your spear.

This is a battle of strength and endurance; you cannot afford a moment of laxity. Finally, the lion exhausts its last bit of strength and collapses with a whimper. After ensuring it is truly dead, you drag its body out of the trap.

Conquering a lion is the ultimate symbol of a warrior's glory. As you wearily carry the lion's bloodied head through the long street, everyone remembers the hero's name.

Conditions:

Result:

The lion did not fall into your trap. You must rely on your agility and strong physique to engage in a prolonged struggle with the cunning beast.

Finally, you seize an opportunity to leap onto the lion's back and plunge a dagger into its vulnerable throat.

Despite its attempts to throw you off, you hold on tightly to its mane, praying to the gods. Gradually, its struggles weaken, and it collapses on the blood-soaked sand, lifeless. The world is silent, save for the sound of your heartbeat. It is dead. A sudden wave of relief washes over you, followed by unbearable pain and dizziness.

When you awaken, you have been taken to a city Sanitarium by a passerby, and your bravery in battling the fierce lion has become a city-wide legend.

Conditions:

Result:

A reckless attack has cost you the chance of victory.

You and the lion face off, not daring to show any fatigue. Using the best disguise you have, you maintain a strong facade. After a long standoff, the injured lion roars and retreats. Watching its form disappear into the sands, you nearly drop your dagger and collapse.

Blood has long soaked through your clothes, and pain explodes from your back, spreading throughout your body. The lion's claws have left deep, hard-to-heal wounds, and you need immediate treatment.
