You invite Adila and Jabal to your residence. Jabal begins introducing his story of searching for dragons under the Sultan's order, but Adila seems uninterested.
"Enough, General." The girl interrupts Jabal's lengthy description by raising her hand, "I have no intention of handing the dragon-killing technique of my family to the Sultan. I intend to kill that creature myself, only then can I lift the curse on my family."
"Why?" Jabal is puzzled, "I mean, why do you have to break this so-called curse? What's wrong with only having daughters? You're a warrior, aren't you? You're strong, I am a general, I know a strong warrior when I see one. Shouldn't we kill the dragon together? Isn't that the most important thing?"
Adila is stunned, and you can see her face turning red.
"Oh... you men, don't understand anything," she mutters, shaking her head.
Jabal looks to you for help.
So, you're left to try and persuade Adila. Even if she is a very strong warrior, finding and killing a dragon on her own is almost an impossible task. Currently, Jabal is the best partner she can find. He has been tracking dragon clues for many years, and his martial prowess is unquestionable.
But Adila still shook her head vigorously: "You simply don't understand." With something like an unspoken issue, Adila turned even redder, "You simply don't understand...!" With that, she clamped her mouth shut, almost burying her head into a barrel of wine, clearly unwilling to discuss the matter further.
Seeing Adila so resistant, you and Jabal exchange a glance and can only shake your heads.
"Perhaps it's for the better," you console Jabal, "If the sultan finds out there's a new way to find the dragon, he'll surely order you – or me – to bring him the dragon's head, or deliver our own heads to him."
Jabal opens his mouth and is ultimately forced to agree with you. He lets out a long sigh, the dissatisfaction in his eyes fading as he stares into his drink. In the end, he can only concede, "A warrior should slay dragons, that's the warrior's mission. At least that's how I see it... but indeed, there's no choice. If the Sultan forced me to deliver a dragon's head in seven days, I could only kill myself. Well… never mind."
You catch a flicker of regret in Adila's eyes, but what really binds her? She's not ready to tell you now, maybe the timing isn't right.
