Several unruly brutes lay drunk, sprawled out across the floor. Maggie was pale, holding a dagger and about to stab down when she turned her head. As her eyes met yours, an ocean flooded out, sniffles reverebrating the hopeless room.
You hurried forward, holding her tightly in comfort, then handed over those filthy reprobates to the High Constable, telling him to ensure a stern and severe punishment for them. Though you already had an inkling of the person behind them, you hope she'd stay away after this incident.
