Arriving at Fardak's burning residence, the Sultan's guards found only a charred corpse, identifying him solely by the fragments of fabric and jewelry that remained.
Still shaken, you tell them Fardak had mentioned unrest in his hometown a few days ago. At the time, you didn't take it seriously. But how could anyone have imagined a traitor would infiltrate the capital so quickly, conspire to kill him, and even dare to set fire in public to destroy evidence!
Conditions:
You call [s4.name] and a group of Ladies of Delights, giving them enough money to entertain Fardak well, hoping he might forget his damned homesickness.
The following morning, the Sultan receives a peculiar report. According to it, Fardak suddenly "choked" during a carnival, then "shivered" before quickly passing away. The report also mentions that several prostitutes had witnessed him experiencing similar episodes before, suggesting some chronic condition.
The Sultan shows more interest in which prostitutes are involved than in Fardak's death. He dismisses you with a wave, instructing you to write a condolence letter to Fardak's father, demanding he send another son to serve as hostage promptly.
Little does anyone know that the messenger delivering this letter is Fardak himself, now under a new identity.

Fardak has taken his own life – or at least, that's what the person who found his body claims. According to him, Fardak slit his throat with a family heirloom dagger. It's said that this proud and solitary family uses this blade to protect something far more precious than their lives.
The Sultan furrows his brows, but the man quickly presents the Kaplan's End. The dagger is exquisite, instantly capturing the Sultan's attention. He examines it closely, gesturing with the blade for a moment, sending shivers through the women beside him and the trembling courtiers below.
"One less hostage, one more treasure. A fair trade." He smiles as he accepts the dagger, showing no interest in pursuing the matter further.
And so, that very night, a cloaked man bows to you repeatedly in gratitude before disappearing into the darkness on his way home.

Your display of heartfelt grief dispels most of the guards' suspicions. After some additional persuasion and a warning – that everyone will suffer if they disturb the Sultan's hunting pleasure – they accept your explanation and identify the body as that unfortunate hostage.
And so, Fardak seizes the opportunity to leave the city under a false identity, vanishing without a trace.

The guards do not trust your words; an experienced coroner discovers the corpse isn't actually Fardak through telltale details. After this revelation, they quickly launch a manhunt and find their target hiding at a remote farm.
As they report this to the Sultan, you stand below, drenched in sweat. Fortunately, your supporters defend you fiercely, and Fardak calmly states that you were not involved in his escape. He gazes directly at the man on the throne, and even as they take him away, he remains exceptionally calm and composed, as if he never held any hope from the start... just like that, he is ordered to be burned alive.
