A smile bloomed across her face, long-buried feelings rising to the surface; she looked, in that moment, like a little girl brimming with excitement.

All Ladies of Delights stood flushed with joy, servants scrambling to set seats they barely noticed. To have stepped out of that perfumed cage was novelty enough, let alone dancing together in a courtier's house!

You stood with wine in hand, dazed.

They danced to a merry rhythm, smiles pure and radiant. Jewels chimed, braids swayed, and waists rippled like fish through water.

Every new dance was shouted into the night—Circle Dance, Fox Dance, Ale Dance, Apis Ring Dance, and countless others you had never heard. They gathered around Arzuna like stars about the moon—no, they were all moons, invited by you to fill the sky.

Maggie, unusually, had a couple more drinks. Her cheeks flushed, a soft smile playing on her lips—she was truly happy for these girls. When you pressed your lips to her moist eyes, that warmth rose into your heart, leaving you dizzy and weightless all at once. The sky held countless stars, yet she was your one and only moon.

Nabhani was the happiest soul at the ball! As the girls danced, this red-haired guy somehow slipped in, wriggling alongside them—an utterly unbearable sight.

Arzuna tried to pull her hand free—and failed. Speechless, you gripped Nabhani's wrist, while he resisted with all his strength. The two of you nearly came to blows at the doorstep—until Arzuna chuckled.

In the end, you wore a forced grin and escorted Arzuna home together with Nabhani. After Arzuna secured the door, Nabhani lingered every few steps and finally headed back. Only then could you finally return.

Again, Arzuna thanked you for everything you had arranged last night. She said she had been dancing by herself at home, trying to memorize every step.

"And that swordsman... Despite you sending him away, he still managed to slip a note into my pocket." She handed the note to you, a smile hidden behind her hand. "I can't read, but I'm guessing it's just some 'love at first sight' message, right?"

Arzuna was right—the note read, "You have already captured my heart." Hah, that blasted Nabhani!

"Ahem, these young nobles... their hearts are easier to capture than fleas—two or three snags a day." She chuckled. "But honestly, the way you stopped him... it really felt like the 'brother' I used to imagine when I was little."

She let the subject drop, and the two of you chatted casually and happily for a while.
