Even as you made your desperate plea, the Magician's lips curled into that knowing smile. She leapt gracefully toward the silver moonbeams, ready to vanish into their embrace.

A heartbeat later, she hung suspended in the night air. A luminous lance, thin as gossamer yet unyielding as fate itself, had descended from the heavens to impale her.

The firmament trembled. The stars - those ancient arbiters - had answered. Justice arrived not swiftly but with terrible certainty as countless shafts of stellar light transfixed the Magician's form. Held aloft like a divine puppet, her first true cry of anguish reached your ears.

The celestial tapestry rotated as it had since time immemorial, following its ordained path. Methodically, mercilessly, it tore her essence asunder, consigning each fragment to cosmic oblivion. Not until eleven millennia had passed would the stars align again to permit her return.

The Highlord's will was done. As the North Star blazed triumphant, outshining even the moon's pale glow. Your covenant with the divine had been fulfilled at last.
